Apple Cider Sangria Mocktail | Non-Alcoholic Fall Drink
Enjoy seasonal flavors and a tasty beverage without any of the alcohol! This delicious apple cider sangria mocktail is a lovely and refreshing drink for fall. Apple cider, fresh fall fruits, and ginger beer make a well-balanced and tasty sober drink.

When I hosted a fall party this year, I knew I wanted to have festive, seasonal drinks. I’ve made spiced rum fall punch and blackberry bourbon smashes in the past, but I wanted to include a non-alcoholic option this time.
Sparkling water and soda are fine, but it’s much more fun to enjoy a tasty non-alcoholic mocktail at fall gatherings!
I came up with non-alcoholic apple cider sangria and it got rave reviews. I personally loved it so much, I started making it regularly for myself.
With colorful fruits and lots of sweet, tart, and spicy fall flavors, this delicious drink will be the perfect addition to your gatherings this fall and holiday season!
Why You’ll Love This Apple Cider Sangria Mocktail
Alcohol-free: This is the perfect beverage to serve at your next fall party for kids or anyone wanting to avoid alcohol! It looks fun and festive just like a classic sangria..
Delicious: With the bright flavors of apple cider, citrus, and ginger beer, this mocktail is full of flavor and perfectly well-balanced. If you ask me, it’s even tastier than a cocktail!
Seasonal: All of the flavors of fall are wrapped up in this one beautiful drink. Apple cider, ginger, and lots of seasonal fresh fruit make it the perfect autumn beverage.

Ingredients
- Apple cider: Cold-pressed apple cider is best! Apple juice will work in a pinch.
- Ginger beer: I used cranberry ginger beer from Trader Joe’s and loved it. You can use regular ginger beer, blood orange ginger beer, or any ginger beer you can find that sounds good! I do recommend ginger beer, not ginger ale because it adds a spicier ginger flavor and less sweetness.
- Lime juice: Fresh lime juice adds some acidity and balances the sweetness. Opt for fresh over bottled whenever possible.
- Fruit slices: Any good sangria has macerated fruit slices in it! I used a variety of citrus, apples, and pears. You can use whatever you have on hand, too.
- Cinnamon sticks: Cinnamon sticks add a spicy fall flavor and make the beverage even more festive for the season.
Substitutions and Variations
- If you prefer a sweeter drink, you can add a little maple syrup or simple syrup. Be sure to taste it as-is before you do this as it is a pretty sweet drink to begin with!
- Add extra flavor with some fruit juice. A splash of cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, or orange juice will add even more fruitiness to this drink.
- Feel free to add or subtract any of the fruits to make it your own. I sometimes add pomegranate seeds or even blackberries if they’re still plentiful in the garden.
- You can add more fall spices if you like spiced cider! Star anise or whole cloves are excellent options in addition to the cinnamon sticks.
- Swap out the lime juice for lemon juice if you prefer.

- Serve this mocktail in a pitcher or punch bowl with a spoon so your guests can scoop the fruit into their glasses.
- Don’t skip letting the fruit soak if you have the time! It helps the flavors develop in the drink and makes the fruit extra delicious.
- I recommend slicing the fruit as thin as you possibly can. This allows it to soak up more liquid and taste its best.

Recipe FAQs
Can I add alcohol to this?
Yep! If you prefer a cocktail rather than a mocktail, feel free to add a liquor of your choice. I think it would taste great with whiskey or spiced rum (this would make it similar to my spiced rum fall cocktail, which you might also enjoy).
Am I supposed to eat the fruit in sangria?
Yes! That’s part of what makes sangria so delicious. The fruit macerates in the beverage and in this case, has an effervescent gingery flavor.
