ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Tessa!

I’m so glad you’re here.

I created Sprig & Spoon with the hopes of inspiring and equipping you to grow your own food and create from-scratch meals that highlight fresh, seasonal produce.

I am growing on a small urban homestead with my husband and a small flock of laying hens. From the time I was a toddler, I spent summers out in the garden with my mom. She taught me everything I needed to know to start my own garden a few years ago and the rest is history.

I’m continually learning and experimenting with new methods to grow regenerative food that heals the soil and our health.

My love for teaching others to embrace the joys of gardening and culinary creation is the heartbeat of this blog.

From sowing the seeds to harvesting the fruits (quite literally), I’m here to guide you through the entire process. Witnessing the transformation from seed to table is a profound and rewarding experience that I’m eager to share with you.

Beyond the beauty of abundant gardens and bustling kitchens, I’m committed to equipping you with the skills to preserve your harvests.

Whether it’s drying homegrown herbs, freezing sauces and spreads, or fermenting the best pickles you’ve ever had, I’m thrilled to dive into the world of preservation together.

So, whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, I’m glad to have you on this journey of cultivating, cooking, and preserving.

Thanks for joining me!
