This blackberry syrup for cocktails is simple to make and absolutely delicious. Make a big batch of it to add a berry twist to all of your favorite drinks, such as spritzes, mojitos, lemonade, and iced tea!
In a small saucepan, add blackberries and water. Bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to medium-low heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in honey and fresh lemon juice. For a thicker syrup, return to the heat and simmer for a few extra minutes.
Strain syrup through a fine mesh sieve, using a spoon to press down on the berries and release as much juice as possible. Discard solids.
Allow the syrup to cool to room temperature before using it in cocktails, tea, lemonade, and more.
